SNFCC Members Off the Premises: Shedia | Invisible Routes - Εικόνα

Social tour in the center of Athens, guided by vendors of Shedia magazine

Since its opening and as part of its social responsibility, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center has been cooperating, among others, with the street magazine Shedia, hosting it on its premises on the weekends. Thanks to this cooperation, SNFCC Members will be able to participate in selected projects implemented by Shedia, both within and off the premises of the SNFCC.

“Invisible Routes” is a social project offering guided tours in the center of Athens, led by (currently or formerly) homeless fellow Athenians who help us become acquainted with the unseen side of the reality of life in the streets. The tour will be hosted by the project’s manager, Akis Maragozakis, and Shedia magazine vendors Michalis Samolis and Spyros Potamitis.

The main objective of these tours is to activate the guide and, through his or her personal narrative, enable participants to get to know the city and its people from a different perspective. Based on the key premise of raising awareness, we will be discussing the human relations, the quality of services and the human geography of various structures for the homeless and their staff.

You may find more information about the tour here.

In addition to the above, SNFCC Members will enjoy a 20% discount on “Shedia Art” products at the physical store, on the days of the visits to Shedia Home.
