Thodoris Voutsikakis - Εικόνα

Watch the event live from the Lighthouse:

Thodoris Voutsikakis comes to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, with his version of "Life is Beautiful" entrusted to him by Nicola Piovani and Lina Nikolakopoulou, for a special live streaming concert at the Lighthouse.

In this live steaming concert, the talented singer "delves" into the vast waters of Mediterranean music and sweeps us along into a seductive journey, sharing with the audience, for the very first time, an eclectic assortment of songs that he loves from the global music scene, as well as selections from his personal discography.

He burst onto the scene in 2017 though Dimitris Maramis' much-discussed musical "Erotokritos", the massive hit that inaugurated the Alternative Stage of the Greek National Opera at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. Thodoris Voutsikakis, one of the most important singers of the new generation, performed the leading role alongside Marina Satti, to form the perfect couple in Vitsentzos Kornaros' epic poem.

Thodoris Voutsikakis has numerous important collaborations under his belt, such as with Stavros Xarhakos, Christos Leontis, Dimitris Papadimitriou, Nikos Xydakis, Michalis Gkanas, Nikos Kypourgos, Dulce Pontes, Maria Farantouri, and Luis Borda, to name but a few. In 2014, he recorded his first personal album Emotional Age to music by Dimitris Maramis, and in early 2020 he released the record Life is Beautiful, performing compositions by the multi-award-winning Italian film composer Nicola Piovani, with lyrics written by Lina Nikolakopoulou.

For his concert at the SNFCC Lighthouse, Thodoris Voutsikakis will be joined by the acclaimed soloists Antonis Sousamoglou on the violin, and Grigoris Simadopoulos on the piano.
