Radio broadcasts narratives of our daily lives, current affairs, and history. It entertains us and its people, along with its music, keep us company at all hours of the day. Inspired by our February theme of the month, Storytelling, as well as by the World Radio Day,* SNFCC Members will have the opportunity to visit the offices of Athens 9.84 FM radio station and enjoy a guided tour by the head of the station, Margarita Mytilinaiou.
Together we will learn about the history of radio, and of Athens 9.84 radio station, the country’s first “free” radio station that went on air on May 31, 1987, and we will get a taste of what it’s like to actively take part in a radio broadcast.
