13th Literature in Athens Festival (LEA) - Εικόνα

The Greek-Ibero-American Festival “Literatura en/em Atenas – LEA” was established in 2008 with the aim of promoting intercultural dialog between Greece and the countries of the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America.

Tribute: The Greek Revolution

On the occasion of the bicentennial of the Greek Revolution, Greek writer Vassilis Papadopoulos, Cuban diplomat Oriol Marero, and Mexican dramatist Luis Edoardo Torres will pay tribute to the “national” poets Dionysios Solomos (Greece), José Martí (Cuba) and Ramón López Velarde (Cuba). 

With the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, the Embassies of Cuba, Mexico and Peru, the Abanico School, and the Cervantes Institute in Athens.

  • Doors open at 18.00.
  • Visitors are advised to be at the location up to 10 minutes prior to the commencement of the event.
  • With each booking ticket, you will be given a unique seat.
  • Changes in seat numbers or movements during the event are not allowed.
  • Pre-registration is required for both adults and children, in compliance with all necessary measures of safety in accordance with the Hellenic National Public Health Organization. No order of priority will be available on-site.
  • All areas of the SNFCC are accessible for disabled guests.

A parallel identity check will be carried out on the persons who show the required certificates, as provided by law.

Due to public health measures, there may be changes regarding either the staging of the event, or the maximum number of participants.

The event is part of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) grant. Along with the majority of its events, offered free of charge thanks to the SNF grants, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center also organizes certain events with affordable tickets, thus enriching its revenue sources and ensuring its financial sustainability.
