Εργαστήρι Κολάζ και Λογοτεχνίας: Από σελίδα σε σελίδα, από το ποίημα στο κολάζ - Ιούνιος - Εικόνα

Discover the world of collage through the way hero figures are portrayed in contemporary poetry and literature.

Each month, participants explore the history and variations of the technique of collage, from China and the invention of paper 2,000 years ago, up until the present day.

We will pay particular attention to the experimentations of Dada, Braque and Picasso, Jackson Pollock, and Wagenschi Mutu and Yinka Shonibare

In May’s workshop, we will explore the most iconic woman behind every hero, the mother, drawing inspiration from poems dedicated to Thetis, the mother of Achilles, by C P Cavafy, Carol Ann Duffy, and Phoebe Giannisi.

We will use the methods of Tristan Tzara and the Dadaists to create a new collage-poem, juxtaposing contrasting images to illustrate the freedom of the spirit.
