For the fifth summer running, the much-loved SNFCC program Park Your Cinema brings the visitors of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center a selection of classic movies, to either discover for the first time, or enjoy anew on the big screen.

August’s projections at the SNFCC’s Great Lawn continue along the theme of laugh-out-loud comedy. From a glamorous cruise in search of a rich husband to the craziest car race of the early 20th century, you will enjoy Hollywood’s best offerings of the last few decades, with an all-star cast of our most beloved performers of all time. A magical escape from reality that only the cinema can bring to life.

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953): Plot

Two showgirls and best friends, Lorelei and Dorothy, take a cruise to Paris and cause havoc among their fellow passengers, with the majority of the men trying to win them over. It will take a lot of… diamonds! Jane Russell and Marilyn Monroe shine in this classic musical comedy, a remake of the 1949 musical, which includes countless singalong hits and timeless dance pieces, from “Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend” to “Bye Bye Baby”.

*Viewers are advised to bring mosquito-repellent, as well as a throw or blanket to spread on the ground.

 

Entry is free.

For your own safety and in compliance with the measures for maintaining distances as defined by the Hellenic National Public Health Organization, we have designed a special layout at the Great Lawn, with signs indicating the spots where groups and families of up to 4 people may sit.

There will be no waiting list. In the event that full capacity is reached, no new visitors will be admitted to the Great Lawn.
