Music Escapades, the concert series dedicated to the latest trends in the Greek alternative scene, are back at the outdoor areas of the SNFCC, launching this summer’s concert program.
Two of the most fascinating singer-songwriters on the Athenian scene join forces in what is sure to be a most stimulating evening.
Though born in São Paulo, Brazil, Jef Maarawi has been living in Athens, realizing a brilliant artistic career in music and theater. He has released three albums with the label Inner Ear (the latest being the magnificent 2021 album Terra Papagalli, a tribute to the Athenian exotica), and is a delightful live performer with his larger-than-life outgoing presence.
Jack Heart (aka Nikolas Kokolakis, hailing from the island of Tinos) drew his artistic alias from a Bob Dylan song and has already released two albums with The Love Ghosts, combining the sound of modern guitar-playing with the legacy of traditional songwriting. The two together have previously shared a stage with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Editors, Wolf Alice, and The Last Drive.
