The SNFCC was awarded a Silver Αward at the HR Awards 2021 in the Best Youth Employment Initiative category, for its Internship Program that supports youth employment.

The HR Awards, organized for the seventh year by Boussias Communications, aim to identify and reward the best achievements and initiatives in the field of Human Resources in Greece.

The SNFCC was distinguished for its salaried internship program which is offered to applicants aged 18-35. The internship program is made possible thanks to an exclusive grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), within the framework of SNF's "Recharging the Youth" Initiative. The Initiative aims to help address the high rate of youth unemployment in Greece, as well as to generate better employment prospects and new skill-building opportunities for young people. To date, the SNFCC's internship program has offered over 900 young people the opportunity to work in a cultural organization of international scope. The main features of the program are that it is announced twice a year and that it is addressed to young people with or without specialized qualifications.

In addition, the internship program deals with areas related to the various operating aspects of the SNFCC, as well as the National Library of Greece (NLG) and the Greek National Opera (GNO). The program's key innovative elements are its emphasis on youth education, interns' integration into SNFCC departments with important responsibilities, as well as the adaptation and development of the program based on their experiences and proposals.

Anna Aggeli, HR Manager, SNFCC Single Member S.A., commented:

"This award is a great honor for the Human Resources Department of the SNFCC as, through the internship program, young people are given the opportunity to gain exemplary professional experience in a cultural organization of international scope. This award belongs to all the staff of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center as, through the high level of professionalism and the excellent cooperation between the various departments, we have offered over 900 young people the unique opportunity to be part of our wonderful team and of our distinctions! "

Rea Anastasopoulou, Internship Program Officer, SNFCC Single Member S.A., added:

"It is our great pleasure and honor to be awarded for the internship program of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). Through the exclusive grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), we are given the opportunity to work with over 100 young people each year, offering them unique personal and professional assets for their future. SNFCC interns are an integral and invaluable part of the Organization and we extend our warmest thank you for their contribution to our work all these years. "
