The TV news show Stin Praxi (In action), broadcasted by SKAI TV on January 19 presented Future Library, referencing the organization’s connection to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). The objective of Future Library, which was established with the initiative and exclusive support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, is to enhance the country’s network of public and municipal libraries and to ultimately connect them with the National Library of Greece, once the latter moves to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. Future Library will offer its services and expertise to assist NLG with the best possible design, organization and implementation of the relocation of its collections to the SNFCC, as well as other activities, such as training the NLG’s human resources, upgrading its digital and other services, attracting a wider audience to the library etc.
