A new offer awaits visitors of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) starting Monday, February 10th. From 09.00 to 22.00 daily, the visitors of SNFCC Lighthouse can choose among a wide selection of books to read while relaxing in one of the most beautiful areas of the city: The Lighthouse offers panoramic 360-degree view of Athens, Piraeus and the Saronic Gulf, and a direct view of the Acropolis hill. This is, after all, how Italian architect Renzo Piano had imagined the Lighthouse.

Within the framework of cooperation with various institutions and organizations, the SNFCC bought publications from the National Bank of Greece Cultural Foundation, the Crete University Press, the National Hellenic Research Foundation, the Hellenic Parliament Foundation for Parliamentarism and Democracy and the Sakis Karagiorgas Foundation. This way the Lighthouse now hosts their publications, as well as books donated by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). More books will be added in the future.

As part of the SNFCC commitment in being open and accessible to all, workstations providing access to 543 titles from the Panhellenic Association of the Blind’s talking book library will operate at the Lighthouse, for blind, visually impaired visitors or visitors with reading difficulties.
