In celebration of the Olympic Day, the annual evening race of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, SNF RUN: Running into the Future, will take place today Sunday, June 23, as part of the Summer Nostos Festival.
Τhis year, the race includes 6K and 10K runs, as well as a 1K run for Special Olympics athletes. The first two races will start at the Panathenaic Stadium, at 20:50 and 21:10 respectively, with runners crossing the city center and then, via Leoforos Syngrou, arriving at the finish line at the SNFCC Running track.
According to the official announcement of the Hellenic Police, the following traffic changes will be applied on this day: On Sunday 23.06.2019, specific road closures will be implemented gradually from approximately 19:00 to 23:00, while stopping and parking will not be allowed from 06.00 to 23.00 at the following avenues and streets of the Municipality of Athens and Kallithea:
