On January 30, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) was awarded an honorary prize as part of the Venue Awards 2020 ceremony. The purpose of these awards was to highlight the best event venues based on criteria, such as innovation, creativity, visitors’ experience and respect for the public.

SNFCC was recognized for its social impact and for redefining the public space. Since its operation, its vision and goal has been to create an open, public space where everyone feels welcome, has free access and the opportunity to participate in a multitude of cultural, educational, sports, recreational and environmental activities and events.

The award was received on behalf of the SNFCC by Elpidoforos Pappas, Chief Operating Officer, Sarah Kostala, Safety Manager and Nikolaos Polemikos, Deputy Facility Manager.

The design and construction of the Stavros Niarchos Park as an open, public space, welcoming and accessible to everyone,  is the result of the vision of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation for the design and development of the SNFCC and was made possible through the exclusive donation of the SNF.
