Sculpture Workshop: From 2D to 3D - Εικόνα

Drawing inspiration from the sculptural works of artist Alex Mylona, we use the medium of papercut as an ongoing creative process.  We convert two-dimensional paper surfaces into interwoven three-dimensional forms.

During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to create a series of paper forms, cutting openings and strips, folding, rotating, and weaving them together. We will be experimenting with the ways in which these paper surfaces can become three-dimensional objects and be interconnected, constructing imaginative sculptural chains. By combining each one’s creations with those of the other participants, we will create a collective sculpture that is constantly evolving and changing, a great collaborative chain.
