The successful performance A Walk in the Park returns to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center with a series of videos that take place at the Stavros Niarchos Park, in creative partnership with acclaimed artists Dimosthenis Grivas (video direction – music) and Georgina Kakoudaki (dramaturgy – theater direction).
Whether or not you already know the Stavros Niarchos Park, the A Walk in the Park “virtual tours” series sheds a different light upon the familiar landscape. Well-known actors of the new generation take on the role of “tour guide” on walks where nature, history, poetry, song and personal narratives comprise a different journey each time. This way, each actor shows us “their own” Stavros Niarchos Park. Starting us off is Kora Karvouni, who takes us on a stroll through the Park with a copy of Ilias Venezis’ Aeolian Earth in her hands, quoting excerpts from this great work of Greek literature. Next, Iro Bezou takes over to guide us around the Park through songs of a bygone era, creating a unique musical tour.
The #snfccAtHome series, and the SNFCC digital program in its entirety, is realized thanks to a program support grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
