An explosive dance lab is coming to SNFCC to lift your spirits through the rich tradition of Brazilian music and dance – a tradition that celebrates the primeval human urge for expression of feelings and emotions, and for connection with nature. This session is an introduction to basic and more advanced techniques and choreographic styles of the vibrant Brazilian traditions (Orixás, samba batucada, samba reggae, maracatu, and more). Participants will have the opportunity to explore how body axes and directions in space function according to Afro-Brazilian tradition.
