Dance has always been a means of expression, liberation, socialization, ritual. In the new year, through a series of dance workshops and taking our cue from action painting and paint dancing, introduced in the 1990s in USA, the young Members of the SNFCC will have the opportunity to freely express themselves through rhythm and color.
Dancers in their daily lives, before or after a performance, have often been a source of inspiration for great painters. In this interactive painting workshop, we will study artworks inspired by dance, as well as the different approaches and interpretations of artists such as Matisse, Derrain, Degas and Toulouse-Lautrec. Afterwards, we will dance and create our own paintings to the tunes of various different kinds of music!
