Μονοπάτια συμπερίληψης & συμμετοχής: Το παιδί με αναπηρία στην καθημερινή ζωή - Εικόνα

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, on Sunday, December 3, 2023, the Sports Excellence Center of the 1st Department of Orthopedic Surgery of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA) Medical School, in the context of the program Action for Kids with Disabilities and in collaboration with the 3rd Pediatric Clinic of UoA and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), is presenting a conference featuring interactive discussions and open talks on re-evaluating the way children with disabilities, live in the family, at school and in the community.

Prompted by the strong symbolism of the day, and the need to highlight the physical and psychological well-being of children with disabilities, the conference aims to reexamine the lifestyle of people with disabilities within the family, the school environment and the broader community, as well as to encourage the participation of children with disabilities in sports.

The multifaceted role of sports in the development of children, as well as the equitable access of all children to sports, dramatically enhances their ability to claim equal opportunities in their daily lives.
Specialized scientists and guests participate in this conference, highlighting the need to address all forms of discrimination and exclusion experienced by children with disabilities, and conveying a hands-on message of respect for inclusivity.
