Slams by SNFCC Youth Council - Εικόνα

Inspired by the Science Slams that started in Germany in the early 2000s, we are organizing and curating a series of events aiming to highlight ideas, knowledge, experiences and, of course, the people behind them.

True to our vision of stirring up discussions and asking questions about existing social norms, we are inviting 4 speakers who will address the general public in a simple, understandable and inclusive way. Sparking dialogue being the main aim, each speech will be followed by a Q&A session with audience participation.

This series of talks and discussions, on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (Dec. 03), will start with the topic “Accessibility & Disability.” How familiar are we with accessibility issues? What is disability, and how “visible” are invisible disabilities? These are some of the questions we will be attempting to answer during the discussions.
