12.00-13.30 for ages 6-8: Women in Science: Space and STEAM with Valentina Tereshkova
Have you ever thought about everything that women have achieved in sciences? Who was the first woman in space? What do we really know about our solar system?
In this workshop, we will meet Valentina Tereshkova through experiential STEAM activities. We will build our own solar system, which we will set into orbit through robotics, and experiment by creating moon rocks.
A STEAM journey for every child who wants to become an astronaut for a while and dive into the inclusive world of science!
*The workshop includes painting with cater colors.
14.00-15.30 for ages 9-12: Women in Science: Programming and STEAM with Grace Hopper
Have you ever thought about everything that women have achieved in the sciences? Who was a pioneer in the world of computers and programming? What do we really know about programming and coding?
In this workshop, we will meet Grace Hopper through experiential STEAM activities. We will program robots, write code, and create our own device to transfer secret messages that only real scientists can decode.
A unique programming experience that proves that all individuals can immerse themselves in the inclusive world of science!
