The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center S.A. announces the launch of the National Architecture Students' Proposals/Ideas Competition for the "Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) construction site Visitors Center" project. Specifically, according to the relevant call for submissions, which is available on the Foundation's website, www.SNF.org, as of today, January 11th 2013, undergraduate students of architecture enrolled at the Faculties of Architecture and corresponding Departments in Greek Polytechnics and Universities are invited to submit their proposals for the creation of a light, temporary structure at the SNFCC construction site. The structure will serve as a Visitors Center, which will function as an information point on the SNFCC during the course of its construction. The competition will be open for one (1) month and the closing date is the 11th of February 2013. An evaluation committee, which will include the architect of the SNFCC, Renzo Piano, will select the top three prizewinners in March 2013.
