In June 2016, during the four-day Metamorphosis events, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), officially inaugurated the SNFCC Membership Program, with the registration of over 40,000 members. The two-year subscription for these members was covered by a grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
To contribute to the SNFCC’s future sustainability, the Program aims to engage the public in supporting the operation of the SNFCC, offering exclusive membership benefits pertaining to its events and services. The Μembers’ subscriptions will contribute to the development of programs and activities for the SNFCC, which will be based on the values it represents, revolving around the triptych “education-environment-culture”, offering a multiplicity of activities and establishing the SNFCC as a destination which is open to all. Revenues from the Membership Program will be delivered as a reserve for the operation of the SNFCC, upon the project’s delivery to the Greek State.
Subscription to the SNFCC Membership Program comes with a variety of specially designed privileges. Up until the SNFCC’s full operation in 2017, the following four membership categories are available, corresponding to the same level of privileges:
• SNFCC Young €30 – For Members up to 30 years old
• SNFCC Senior €30 – For Members 65 years old and above
• SNFCC Member €50 – The main level of individual membership
• SNFCC Family €90 – For parent(s) and their children under 18 years old
Subscriptions for all those registered between now and October 2017, are valid until October 2018.
The exclusive benefits of the Membership Program, which will be fully available upon the official start of operations in 2017, include, among others, a discount at the SNFCC gift shop, a discount at the food and beverage outlets and parking, a one-day advance sale for SNFCC and GNO events, invitations to Members-only events, participation in GNO’s dress rehearsals, participation in backstage guided tours before a production’s premiere, priority booking for the NLG public library’s specialized spaces such as the recording studio, the multi-functional rooms, etc.
Christmas offer
The SNF, in an effort to further strengthen the future operation of the SNFCC and to give impetus to the creation of a community that will embrace the project from its very first steps, is going to cover 50% of the cost for new Memberships, for people registering during Christmas, in the period from December 22 to January 8. This grant by the SNF will cover up to 30,000 new membership subscriptions. This process will apply to registrations taking place on site at the SNFCC, or electronically, at www.SNFCC.org/members.
Furthermore, starting on December 16, it will also be possible to purchase a Membership subscription as a gift, for all those wishing to purchase it as a gift for their friends or relatives, thus supporting the actions of the SNFCC.
Registered Members will be able to enjoy some special privileges, even before the official start of the SNFCC’s operations, through their participation in events held specifically for Members.
In December, the SNFCC dons its festive gear and welcomes both old and young visitors in a warm and joyous celebration. Fairytale readings for our young friends, Christmas movie screenings for the whole family, a one-man circus show, stand-up comedy skits, craft workshops and musical concerts are only some of the events that comprise the program of festivities at the SNFCC.
Some of these events will be organized especially for Members, under the festive program that will take place during the holidays at the SNFCC.
